In Tennessee, courts use the Child Support Worksheet to help determine the cost of child support owed by a parent. Child support is calculated based on both parents’ adjusted gross income, the number of children that are being supported, and the number of days spent with each parent. The Child Support Worksheet also takes into consideration several other factors like the cost of the child or children’s health insurance costs and childcare.
